ASP Action Items

Required Tasks for the Spring 2024 Semester

For students who have been placed on scholastic warning or probation, or who have been retained after being subject to dismissal, the University has developed a program to support their future academic success.

Please see the below list of required action items for our UConn Stamford Huskies.  ***CAPS students: please connect with Rawan Shilleh for more information***

  1. Familiarize yourself with UConn’s Scholastic Standing Websitehttps://scholasticstanding.uconn.edu
  2. Check your Registration. You are limited to no more than 14 credits during the recovery term. You will be administratively reduced to 14 credits after the 10th day of classes, so it is in your best interest to be strategic and complete this as soon as possible before the University modifies your schedule. Your advisor can assist you if you are unsure which class to remove.
  3. Attend a Academic Success Program Information Session Register Here
  4. Complete your Academic Success Plan for the upcoming semester as soon as possible.
  5. Meet with your Academic Success Advisor. After completing the above steps, you must meet with your assigned Academic Success Advisor. It is strongly recommended that this happens early in the semester. As these meetings are to discuss your approach for the Spring semester, these should be held no later than the end of the 5th week of classes (February 16th). By connecting early in the semester, we can develop a plan for improving your grades, identify relevant campus resources, and start you off on the path to success. A hold will remain on your StudentAdmin account until the above action steps are completed.
  6. Mid-semester check-in with your Academic Success Advisor. Your Academic Success Advisor will be reaching out to you to check-in at the midpoint of the semester once mid-term grades are posted.  This is a great time to discuss how you are doing in your courses and make any adjustments that may be needed to end the semester in Good Standing.
