Tutoring Center

The UConn Stamford Tutoring Center houses the Writing Center and Q Course Center and is located on the second floor of the Library.  Tutoring services include Writing, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science & Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Biology courses.   There are also virtual options for some subjects. Tutoring is free to all students and open Monday-Friday.  *Tutoring hours are subject to change, depending on the availability of the tutors.*

Writing Tutoring

UConn Stamford’s Writing Center is staffed by experienced peer tutors who can help students with their writing assignments at any stage of the process, from brainstorming to final revisions. The Writing Center is located within the UConn Stamford Tutoring Center in the rear of the Library.

Q Tutoring

Q Tutoring: This includes free tutoring in the following areas: Chemistry, Math, Statistics, and Physics. Tutoring is free to all UConn-Stamford students on a drop-in basis to accommodate as many people as possible. Students should bring textbooks, notes, class handouts, syllabi, and assignments to each tutoring session.

Knack Tutoring for Q and Biology Courses

If you are currently enrolled in a Q or Biology course, there are now new opportunities for you for tutoring!  In addition to our Tutoring Center hours, we now offer tutoring services with Knack. Knack is a leading peer tutoring platform that allows students to book 1-on-1 and group tutoring sessions. Knack Tutors are verified high-achieving students from the University of Connecticut who have previously done well in the courses they offer assistance in. Tutoring is free for students currently enrolled in a Q or Biology course and sessions can take place in-person (at the UConn Stamford Tutoring Center) or online at a time that works for you. UConn Regional Campus Virtual Tutoring in Math, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics:

Click on the link for regional campus tutoring, and it will bring you to a nexus online sign in.  Once you sign in on nexus, the receptionist in the Storrs Q Center will send you a link to access a Webex room for tutoring.

We have tutors that are fluent in several languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and French - and are happy to help you with translation for any subject.
